I must confess I still think of it as a planet as I grew up with it that way, I was taught ‘Many Vile Earthlings Munch Jam Sandwiches Under Newspaper Piles’ to remember the order of the planets but I think it did make sense to change it to be a dwarf planet. I guess ‘Many Vile Earthlings Munch Jam Sandwiches Under Newspapers’ works just as well….

I think it’s a fascinating world. Have you seen the pictures the New Horizons spacecraft took when it flew by Pluto a couple of years ago? Look at them here, they’re wonderful: https://www.nasa.gov/feature/new-horizons-top-10-pluto-pics

I remember when the Hubble space telescope took a picture of Pluto and it was just 7 to 10 pixels across, it was tantalising but still out of reach. I thought we would only get to imagine what it was like during my lifetime… but then the New Horizons probe was launched.
It was like a childhood dream come true when I saw the amazing photos of Pluto, I loved it, it was truly amazing.
Take the time to look at the link Leah-Nani posted; it’s well worth it.
