I loved physics and mathematics, so I obtained a doctorate to allow me to work as a physicist. This is my first job putting it into practice! I’m not sure where my career path will lead me from here but generally I try to follow what I am interested in.

I followed what I enjoyed the most.
When I was at secondary school I really enjoyed science and mathematics; I always knew I’d do something technical for work.
In year 9 the two technical subjects I took were textiles and electronics; I chose these because I thought’s they’d be fun.
I really enjoyed both so when I came to choosing my A-Levels I saw that I could do electronics so I did it because it was fun.
When it came to choosing my degree I decided to study electronics and spacecraft engineering because it sounded fun.
Now I never have a dull day, I’m always interested and get paid lots to have fun.

I always wanted to do something in Science, and particularly in space. I always wanted to do a PhD and work in academia, so it was really the direction i always wanted. Later I found great opporunities to move into which progressed my love for science and then looking to make space relevant to every day life. Now I work with industries and organisation who don’t really care of know much about space, and help them think about how space dand data can be used to improve their business.
