  I worked on the NASA IMAGE spacecraft mission that looked at the Earth from space to see how the Sun interacted with the Earth. In particular I studied the effect of the solar wind on the Earh’s magnetic field, resulting in the formation of the aurora. With IMAGE, I observed different signatures that helped us understand the intensity of the interaction and find ways to predict when events might cause disruption in the near-Earth region.
