When I was at college and university I did many jobs to get some extra money. I worked in supermarkets, petrol stations, restaurants, bars. I even taught canoeing at an activity centre for a couple of summers and started my own company with a friend in my second year at uni.

I did a lot of different jobs to help pay my way through university. I was a tutor, I temped in offices, and I worked as a nightclub bouncer. I also worked briefly as a recruitment consultant.

No, when I was at university I got onto a special research placement course so I got paid in the summer to do research at the university. This is my first proper job.
